Position: Custodian (Part-Time) 2nd Shift
Location: District Wide
Reports To: Operations Supervisor
Schedule: 28.75 Hours per week. Flexible schedule options are available.
Hourly Wage: $ 15.40 - 16.50 dependent on experience

Position Summary
Custodians provide custodial services at assigned site(s); ensure an attractive, sanitary, and safe environment for students, staff, and visitors; perform a variety of special cleaning operations; and assist in preparing facilities for classroom activities and building events.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Clean, dust, and wipe furniture; sweep, mop, or vacuum floors; empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers; replace light bulbs; refill restroom dispensers, wash windows
- Clean and sanitize restrooms/bathrooms using established practices and procedures
- Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies. Use as directed
- May set up facilities for meetings, classrooms, conferences, events, etc.
- May strip, clean, buff, and apply floor sealer and floor finish to hard surface floors, vacuum and shampoo carpets
- Responsible for landscaping and snow removal as necessary
- Responsible for the security of the building during shifts
- Other duties assigned by the building administrator or Operations supervisor
Employment Qualifications
- EDUCATION: High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- EXPERIENCE: Preferred but not required; Working knowledge of custodial work, including cleaning methods and materials and the use of custodial equipment equivalent to that gained in at least one year of experience or a combination of education and experience
- Previous experience working in a sanitation, custodial, or maintenance position is preferred, but not required
- SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None
